Weekly Update for April 6th, 2014

New this week:

* Congrats to everyone who participated in the Open and supported our athletes! We had a great time at the Open Wind Up and potluck, thanks to everyone who came out and brought tasty treats.

* Please call the gym or speak to someone at reception to book your appointment with Bryan Cobb, Massage Therapist and Trigger Point Specialist on Saturdays starting April 12th.  Rates are $70 per hour and we take cash, credit card or we can put this on your account if you have given us a void check.

* Schedule Changes for April: We’ve moved our Tuesday evening Yoga class to the On Ramp Room or Yoga room and it will now be at 7:15PM, so that means that our regular 8PM class in the main gym is back on the schedule.  Bring your mat and stay for a while to chill, breathe and open up those shoulders and hips.  Weekend classes are back to pre-Open scheduling.  Thursday and Friday AM Barbell club cancelled for now.

* We’ll be prepping for our annual Spring Leaning Nutrition and Lifestyle Challenge this week. We’ll kick of the whole thing with  a  nutrition seminar on Saturday at 2PM to explain the rules, including what to eat and a Q&A session, then we  officially start on Monday the 14th.  If you signed up for the Silver or Gold Challenge, you will need to come in to the gym for your “before” measurements from Wednesday to Sunday this week during the times below, there will be sign up sheets at the gym.

Thursday, April 10th, 4PM to 7PM

Friday, April 11th, 3PM to 6PM

Saturday, April 12th, 11AM to 1PM

Sunday, April 13th, 11AM to 12PM and 2PM to 3PM


Programming Preview for this week

One more week of accumulation programming, with lots of single arm and single leg work, core work and shoulder and hip stability work. We’ll also be programming some extra skill work for Performance athletes, which you can do before or after class.

Monday: Mostly Lower Body stability and core work

Tuesday: Mostly Upper body shoulder stability and core work

Wednesday: Conditioning  & core work

Thursday: Mostly Lower Body hip stability and core work

Friday: Mostly Upper Body shoulder stability and core work

Saturday: Mostly Lower Body hip stability and core work

Sunday: Skills, Make-Up or Benchmark
