What is CFW Strength Club?
CFW Strength Club is a weekly program designed to get you stronger, more muscular, and most importantly, more confident with weights, and yourself. Programmed and coached by strength coach Adrian Theroux (BKin, CSEP-CPT, Crossfit Level 1, 11 years training athletes), you will focus on building proficiency in the squat, bench press, deadlift, overhead press, rows, pull ups, and even bicep curls!
What’s so special about CFW Strength Club?
CFW Strength Club works because of repeated exposure to the lifts and a constant focus on improvement. Just like any skill, it must be practiced, but it must be practiced often, consistently, and most importantly, correctly. When lifting weights, sometimes our internal cues which seem intuitive are not correct, and having an outside presence to correct and give you proper cueing is essential to eliminate bad habits early, and give you a foundation to build on going forward. Measuring progress is essential and coach Adrian Theroux will give lifters the tools needed to plan their warm up sets appropriately, track their progress, and keep progressing in an intelligent way. Though in a group setting, Adrian will work with athletes individually to maximize their leverages and perfect their technique to see the most success.
Who is CFW Strength Club for?
Everyone who wants to work hard and no longer wants to feel intimidated by weights or other people in the gym. CFW Strength Club is a mini family where everyone has your back, and effort is the only thing that matters. We build each other up, and then push each other harder because we believe in one another. In fact, as a beginner, this is the best time to join as it will be a chance to learn proper technique early and prevent bad habits/imbalances.
I’m a woman and I don’t want to get too bulky/look like a man.
This myth needs to die already. Women can lift VERY heavy weights while maintaining their femininity. It is impossible for a woman to look like a man without “extracurricular help”. Confidence and strength look good on everyone.
How do I get started?
To start, a one-on-one session with coach Adrian is required. This will be a chance for him to help familiarize you with the main lifts, check for any imbalances or mobility issues, and explain the class format/purpose. This way, you can focus on lifting and getting better once you join class. Feel free to come observe one of our sessions and chat with coach Adrian for more information.
