FrostFit 2018 Event 2: Lock Out

Event 2 will start 90 seconds after the completion of Event 1. Competitors will have as many attempts as they wish to establish a 1 rep max in the snatch within the allotted time.  Teams will have one platform and one bar (women’s 15kb olympic bar for women and men’s 20kg olympic bar for men) to share. Each platform will be outfitted with a full compliment of plates, including 2.5lbs, 5lbs, 10lbs, 25lbs, 35lbs, 45lbs.

Non-Rx Teams

Any variation of the snatch is acceptable. The lift can start from the hang or floor, and can be caught in the power position or the full squat snatch. All athletes must show control at the top of the lift, and get confirmation from the judge prior to dropping the bar. There is no maximum number of attempts that an athlete can take.  Partners can help each other load the bar. You must confirm the weight with your judge prior to attempting the lift. Score is sum of the best lifts from both team members.

Rx Teams

Must be full snatch, can be caught in power position, however, athletes must then perform a full-depth squat. All athletes must show control at the top of the lift, and get confirmation from the judge prior to dropping the bar. Partners can help each other load the bar. Athletes must confirm the weight with your judge prior to attempting the lift. There is no maximum number of attempts that an athlete can take. Score is sum of the best lifts from both team members.

Rx Individuals

Individuals will have 5 minutes to attempt the snatch as many times as they like. Must be full snatch, can be caught in power position, however, athletes must then perform a full-depth squat. All athletes must show control at the top of the lift, and get confirmation from the judge prior to dropping the bar. Athletes must confirm the weight with your judge prior to attempting the lift. Score is the best successful lift in pounds.
